University of Mississippi Medical Center Area Solution Project 

This project involves the demolition of approximately 4.9 miles of existing single circuit transmission line and new construction of 2.0 miles of double circuit 115kV transmission line and 2.5 miles of single circuit 115kV transmission line along the same corridor. The location of the project is in a heavily populated urban area. UCS has taken many precautions to protect our workers and the general public during construction. The transmission line features large diameter drilled pier foundations and direct embedded strucutures. The goal of this project is to provide greater reliability for Mississippi's largest and only level 1 trauma hospital.
